Bacon Apple Toast

Ingredients
  • 1/2 baguette French bread, 2 or 3 inches in diameter, sliced ¼-in. thick (12 slices)
  • 6 slices bacon, apple smoked, cut in half
  • 1 T lemon juice
  • 1 apple, peeled, cored, sliced and rubbed with lemon juice
  • 3 oz sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
Details
  • ​Cooking level...Easy
  • Serves 4 guests
  • Cooking time...25 minutes
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees
2. Lightly toast both sides of French bread slices on baking sheet 
3. Place apple and then bacon on toast. Be sure to cover bread completely or the edges will burn.
4. Bake 10 minutes
5. Remove from oven to turn bacon over. At this point, you can put these in the refrigerator and finish the last 10 minutes before your party.
6. Bake another 8 minutes
7. Cover with cheese 
8. Bake until melted about, 2 minutes
